Bobby Hillman loves the board game chess. His late uncle Conrad Davis taught him the game at the age of twelve years old, in Washington D.C. He’s been playing the game since then, and absolutely love’s playing and teaching chess. The first book he read on the topic was in Atlantic City, New Jersey, and written by the late Bobby Fischer, Bobby Fischer Teaches Chess.

His education includes a BA in Elementary Education with a Minor in Specific Learning Disabilities, and a Master’s Degree in Special Education. He is a special education teacher by profession, over twelve years teaching public school. He is a member of several professional organization promoting excellence in the field of Special Education. He is also a member of the USCF (United States Chess Federation) and an Official Chess coach of the USCF.

Mr. Hillman proudly sponsors an academic chess program at several public and private elementary schools in the state of Texas. He is an outstanding private tutor for students in grades K – 12, specializing in the areas of reading, math, writing, and study skills. He is very much dedicated to the field of education.
